High Touch Trading is Up: Advantage Broker?

High touch trading is up. Will it last? And what's it mean for brokers?

The market's volatility has driven more buy side firms to high touch trading away from electronic trading. That's not to say that the importance of electronic trading and electronic trading tools has diminished.

What it means is that brokers have more opportunity - in an age of continually shrinking commissions and generally low levels of equity trading - to increase their value to their clients.
