TABB Group mourns the passing of Viraf (Willy) Reporter, a senior consultant at TABB since 2007 and a longtime financial markets industry expert, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 28, 2010.

“Willy Reporter brought great integrity and an intellectual passion to TABB Group. His intelligence, insights, expertise, enthusiasm and a devilish, self-deprecating humor will be sorely missed.  A well-loved family man, he was a close friend to many throughout the financial industry.  We are deeply saddened by his passing,” said Robert Iati, partner and TABB’s global head of consulting.

For nearly 30 years, Willy held strategic roles with large multinational and small private companies, specializing in equity, foreign exchange and fixed income trading as well as emerging technologies at Dow Jones & Company (Telerate), CNBC, TD Bank, Bank of America, Bank Brussels Lambert, JP Morgan Chase, Platform Computing and Bang Networks.

He earned a BSc degree from the University of British Columbia with a triple major in mathematics, physics and computer science. He lectured on capital markets at New York University's Stern School of Business, The World Trade Institute, U.S. Council on International Banking and Association of Financial Professionals/TMA.

Donations can be made in Willy’s name to the Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) Foundation, Sesame Workshop, or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
