How to Become a Quantamental Firm

Increasingly on Wall Street, fundamental firms are looking to adopt quantitative strategies. Everyone is looking for new trading ideas and more data to analyze, says Zac Sheffer, CEO, Elsen, which recently partnered with Thomson Reuters to develop products to help fundamental firms move into the quantitative space. Speaking with TABB Group analyst Valerie Bogard, Sheffer discusses the technical challenges of sifting through massive amounts of data and how Elsen and Thomson Reuters are providing the tools to overcome these challenges and accelerate the transition, as well as the future of the quantamental trend.
